Centavo

On December 23rd we received a call from one of our vets, a client had brought in an 8-week old Chihuahua who had a broken leg. The clients child had fallen on the puppy and broken the puppy's leg. The client said they couldn't afford to fix the dog's leg and they would have to put him to sleep. The vet tech contacted us and asked if we would be able to take the little dog.
Of course we couldn't turn him down. Centavo is tiny, he weighs about 1 lb - see how small is he is compared the tennis ball next to him. We had the surgery done on December 26th to repair the leg and hopefully he will suffer no long term affects.
We would appreciate any donations, large or small, towards the cost of the surgery which was $945 - we just couldn't turn Centavo away. Fortunately we had a foster home who could squeeze him in - his foster mom says he's a precious little puppy. We will make sure he gets a loving forever home when he's ready for adoption which will be at least a couple of months pending healing of his leg and vetting.
Thanks for reading.
