Our 2nd ever BIG Cat Adoption Event!
"The Most Wonderful Cat Adoption Event of the Year!" was a BIG success! The event took place on Saturday, Dec 17, 2011 at the E. Plano PetSmart at 75 and Parker Road. With almost 30 cats in attendance, we had 11 cats adopted on Saturday, and two more families returned back on Sunday to adopt two more cats. PetSmart manager, Mark Millar, was in the holiday spirit and donned his Santa suit and handed out candy canes all day, which added to the festivities. With the additional adoption trailer on-site, we were able to have many more cats available to meet, so happily many cats are now home for the holidays and forever.
Special thanks to Patrick Taylor, of NTEX Marketing, who donated his time and use of his converted adoption trailer for this event. Also, many thanks go out to Mark Millar and the PetSmart 179 team for all your help! Last but definitely not least, thank you to all our wonderful FHS volunteers who worked tirelessly to pull this event off without a hitch!
